
Stand with feet together, spine and head held straight and arms by the side close to the body. Relax the entire body and breathe slowly and deeply. Exhale, raise the right leg by bending from the knee and hold the big toe of the right foot with the right index, middle finger and the thumb. Place the left arm on your mom’s hip and maintains the balance of your entire body. Open the right leg out to the right and stretch the right leg, straighten the knee completely. Hold the posture for 20-30 seconds or as long as comfortable, breathing deeply. Release the posture and repeat the same on the other leg. To extend leg completely, you can take help from someone else. Take care to move into the posture slowly and with regular practice. Let her hold the leg for support. The regular practice of this improves concentration and co-ordinates muscles and nervous balance. It tones the hips and legs and helps in increasing height, making the body strong and poised.
